The festival takes place at Brookmead School, 36 High Street, Ivinghoe LU7 9EX
Parking at the school is limited and reserved for staff, authors and disabled delegates. Blue badge holders should contact us in advance to save a space.
Parking can be on the street, or as in previous years, further up the High Street. We estimate no more than a 5 minute walk to the venue, congestion considered.
The entrance to the Beacon Lit festival, as you approach from the road, is round to the left of the school directly in to the old hall, not through the front entrance.
Ivinghoe is about three miles from Tring Railway Station, which has good links from the south via London Euston and from the north via Milton Keynes. Taxis from Tring to Ivinghoe are best booked in advance.
Teas, coffees, cold drinks, and a selection of snacks will be available to purchase on the day with cash-only. Unfortunately card payments cannot be processed for food and drink. However, card sales are accepted for book purchases via the Our Bookshop stall on the day. Ticket holders are welcome to bring packed lunch.
